Boyhood is legit one of the worst movies I have seen this year. Why is everyone creaming themselves over such a mediocre piece of shit? I legit have nothing good to say about this movie. I absolutely hated it.
Mason Jr. (Ellar Coltrane), and his dad, Mason (Ethan Hawke) search for the fucking plot of this movie. Results are inconclusive.
Yeah sure okay it's innovative in the sense that Linklater took twelve years to film it and the characters aged throughout the movie but other than that? There's absolutely NOTHING new or exciting about this movie. It's a story that we have seen countless times but instead of being great, it was handled in perhaps the most rudimentary of ways. The main character is unlikable (yeah even as a kid but especially as a teenager), it's boring, unforgivably cliched, and so disgustingly predictable. I'm so fucking flabbergasted at how much positive critical attention this movie has been receiving.
